Aletha Collins Beechum, age 86, died Monday, September 26, 2016, at Diversicare of Martin in Martin, TN.
She was Baptist in faith and retired from the assembly department of Plumley Rubber Co.
Born March 2, 1930, in Lumberton, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Alonzo Collins and the late Callie Locklear Collins. Aletha married Kenneth Beechum April 30, 1955 and he preceded in death on September 7, 2003.
Survivors include four children: Paulette Medina of Lumberton, NC, Jackie Collins of Colorado, Wayne Beechum of Lumberton, NC, and Keith Beechum of Paris and a son in law: Eddie White of Paris.
In addition to several other grandchildren and great grandchildren outside of Henry County, she leaves local grandchildren: Adrienne (James) Wade of Puryear, TN and Jonathon White of Paris, TN; and local great grandchildren Isabel Wade, and Hailee Wade of Puryear, TN.
Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie White.
Ridgeway Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, September 29, 2016, at the Craig – Farmer Family Cemetery (Also known as McDavid Grove Cemetery) with burial to follow.
