Aileen Whitehead Anderson

Aileen Whitehead Anderson, age 89 of Paris, TN, died Friday, February 15, 2019, at Morningside of Paris.

She retired as the co-owner & operator of The Wishing Well in Paris.  She formerly worked at the Clippard Plant and Chesemore Clinic also in Paris.  Aileen grew up at New Hope Baptist Church and became a member of First Baptist Church Paris after she married, where she was a member of the Joy Sunday school class.  During her years at First Baptist Church, she taught the 3-year old Sunday school class for many years and served as the chairperson of the decorating committee for several years.  She was a volunteer worker at Henry County Helping Hand, and loved sewing, cooking, floral designing, and decorating.  She enjoyed working in the yard and her garden.  Those who knew her best said she loved and served her family and community well.

Aileen was born December 4, 1929, in Paris, TN, to the late Robert Benjamin Whitehead and Bessie Nichols Whitehead.

She was married June 6, 1948, to Gene Anderson, who preceded her in death on December 15, 2014.

She is survived by her two daughters, Pat (Danny) Nelson of Paris, TN, and Pam (Bob) Moultrie of Paris, TN; one brother, Ben Whitehead of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren, Bryan (Ellie) Nelson of Raleigh, NC, Natalie (Brad) Skipper of Brentwood, TN, Lydia Moultrie of Murfreesboro, TN, Spencer Moultrie of Knoxville, TN; six great grandchildren, Mary Evelyn Nelson, Margo Nelson, Asher Nelson, Annie Nelson, Mailey Skipper, and Judah Skipper; and two special friends, Emily Foust and Catherine Doyle.

Arrangements will be handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN, 38242.  Visitation will be Tuesday, February 19, 2019, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Wednesday, February 20, 2019, from 9:00 am – 10:00 am.  The funeral service will be Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at 10:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Larry Simmons and Trent Bullock officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Charlie Foust, Johnny Foust, Randy Whitehead, Barry Whitehead, Ricky Whitehead, David Whitehead, and Brent Greer

Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.
