Michelle Johnson

Michelle Johnson, age 67 of Jackson, TN, died Thursday, October 13, 2022, at her residence.

She loved the sunshine and lived to be on the water and in the outdoors.  Before her health declined, Michelle formerly attended Tennessee Valley Community Church and was baptized there.  She formerly worked at Dana Corporation as a forklift operator.  She enjoyed singing and was an avid reader.

Michelle was born February 18, 1955, in Kennett, MO, to the late Milford B. “M.B.” Johnson and the late Anna Mae Childress Johnson.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tonya Burchum of Jackson, TN, and Tracie Brewer of Paris, TN; three sisters, Becky Gooch of Paris, Beth Johnson of Jackson, TN, and Jody Bryant of Clarksville, TN; her grand pup, Shadow; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ron Johnson, Rickie Johnson, and Rudy Johnson; and one niece, Allison Bryant.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Friday, October 14, 2022, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.  The funeral service will be Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 11:00 am at Ridgeway Funeral Home with David Featherston officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Heath Berry, Mike Swindle, Trey West, Tyler West, Marty Johnson, Chad Bryant, and Scotty Brown.  Named as honorary pallbearers are Michelle’s nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.

Memorials may be made to charity of the donor’s choice.
